Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album has a Bayesian average rating of 72.3/100, a mean average of 71.1/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 72.3/100. The standard deviation for this album is 17.9.

Vários momentos bons, mas algumas partes passam batido.
Another excellent album, it's easy to appreciate their willingness to experiment after mastering the pop punk song structure over several brilliant releases. They still have plenty of classic sounding Green Day songs here, while also managing to expand their range in a preview of things to come. Not quite my favorite album of theirs but one I still listen to end to end and thoroughly enjoy.
This, along with their next album "Warning", signifies a very interesting "inbetween" phase during their career, where they have added new elements to their core punk sound and they are open to experimenting without the grand concepts of "American Idiot" or "21st Century Breakdown".
"Good riddance" is obviously the song that steals the show. Maybe the album could be a little shorter. Overall, 85/100.
Nimrod has always been my favorite Green Day album because of its uniqueness and its cohesiveness. It is full of great songs like "Hitchin' A Ride" (this might be my favorite Green Day song ever), "Last Ride In", "Haushinka" and "Prostethic Head".
I was listening a lot to this album when I was a teenager, as I was really into punk-rock. What's great about the 94 to 01 Green Day is that I think it really aged well. Nimrod is one of the few punk rock albums that I was listening to at the time that I still enjoy today. And that's because it's more than just punk rock. There is more variety in this album than you'd normally find in a 1997 punk rock album. The production is on point (that's the case for all Green Day album from Dookie to Warning) and Tre Cool sounds as great as ever. And I can't help but really like Billie Joe's voice.
Favorite Songs: Reject, Hitchin a Ride
I like this album. Very overrated within the Green Day community, though.
Take Back really ruins it for me but otherwise it would be my favorite Green Day album. It is them at their most creative. luigybetis called it their Abbey Road, but I'd call it their Revolver because they are experimenting so freely.
Green Day's Abbey Road, without Take Back it would be perfect.
Very good album. Best 10 songs average is 89,3/100 and the album can get very good 90/100. Best songs are "Nice Guys Finish Last", "Redundant", "Scattered", "All The Time", "Worry Work" and "Good Riddance" all 90/100. All other songs ok to good 80-85/100. Only "Take Back" is bad.
Genre: Pop Punk
Solid tone and execution, but songwriting is pretty boring to me, minus maybe 3 or so songs. I think having A LOT of average songs and a few hits makes it seem worse than it is... if they would have kept it to 10 songs, it probably would be more worth it to me.
