Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. Touch Sensitive opens the album in style, especially considering virtually the whole band walked out prior to this recording. Although not the greatest of Fall tracks, it is a catchy number and it is quite surprising this was not one of the band's biggest hits, especially with it being the soundtrack of a huge car advert.
This album has an eclectic mix of different styles, we have the classic Fall single in Touch Sensitive, the decent cover in F'oldn Money, a great '90's sounding Fall in Shake-Off, then almost a Led Zep sound to Jung Nev's Antidotes which sounds really good, Inevitable almost sounds like MGMT if you really concentrate and then there's practically a soft ballad in Birthday Song - all very interesting. Except Mad Men Eng Dog which I might need to listen to a few more times I think just to get anything from it.
