Morrissey just doesn’t get any happier, does he? This record lacks much of the nostalgia factor of his earlier releases. The tunes aren’t quite as strong and his voice isn’t as treacly as it has been. Decent, but ultimately disappointing.

Raw and rocking, while retaining that trademark whining about being unlovable.
An underrated album that is by a long distance Morrissey's best.
