Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)

This track is rated in the top 1% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a Bayesian average rating of 88.3/100, a mean average of 87.9/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 89.4/100. The standard deviation for this track is 14.8.

That sweeping voice of Ninet... that melody... that passion and feelings... Surely one of the best songs Wilson ever wrote

Epic. Floydian! Especially that outro. Steven Wilson, maker of perfect songs, here makes yet another one, nine minutes long.

This is one of the saddest songs I've heard in my life. It has nothing to do with the story of this album. It's more like a side story about a woman's grief after the lost her children. She had to maintain her daily routine in order to keep sane. The highlight was Guthrie Govan's guitar solo and Ninet's heart-wrenching vocal. I've listened to this song many times, and I cried everytime when I heard the line "Don't ever let go.... try to let go....", it's a struggle everyday.... you know you need to move on, but when is it ok to move on?
