Wesley’s Theory is such a jaw-dropper of an opener. The song is structured perfectly even through how strange a structure it is.
The instrumentation is simply wild and infectious. Some of the notes and production choices bring out this tremendous uneasy dissonance echoing Kendrick’s cautionary tale.
The production is out of this world. The bass, the funkyness, The sample at the start, and the small Dre interlude midway. Amazing song, and opens up the greatest album of all time
This song is amazing on every level. One of my absolute favorites EVER. Look both ways... BEFORE YOU CROOOSS MY MIND
Such an overwhelming and vaguely horrifying atmosphere.
One of the best album openers of all time.

The production on this track is impeccable. Also that funky bass line is wonderful, those delicious synths. The double meaning of the lyrics. "Grab it all, you deserve it Kendrick"

Such an awesome way to open an album. The intro slowly fades in, and then before you know it the mood changes swiftly and before you know it you're lost in a trance of masterful lyricism and jazz everywhere. Then it climaxes with Look Both Waaays before you CROOOOSSSS MY MIND! and it is perfect.
