If the song title is pretty, I usually have an easier time masturbating to the music

Because untitled song are often very nice and have good music

Also, the word 'untitled' looks pretty good. Especially if you put it in [ ]

Then the artist should take the same care they did in making the music and give it a decent title. "untitled", "()", and "----" isn't creative or clever...it's just lazy.

Also drives me crazy: track listings (usually on metal albums) that try to show what a huge vocabulary the band has. Big words don't make your music suck less.

And for God's sake...SPELL YOUR WORDS CORRECTLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Z is not an S. It's "thing", not "thang".

But, do bad titles influence your view of the music? You must not be a Sly fan...

I always liked Blur's song titles...

"Good Song," "Mellow Song," "Song 2," "Cowboy Song," "Sweet Song," "French Song," "Alex's Song," "Swamp Song," and, of course "A Song."

Does anyone else do this or am I just crazy?

Yup, you are just crazy.

But of course song title matter, like the music, the album title and the album art, the liner notes and the video or the "choreography/performance" while they play the song on stage, these are all expressions of artistic creation. Of course for commercial songs, song title are just commercial tags to facilitate sale, but otherwise I see song title as an integral part of an overall oeuvre -not to say that it trumps the music in anyway of course- but it sometimes affect your relationship to a song.

Take as an example:

Shawn Philips' song "She Was Awaiting For Her Mother At The Station In Torino And You Know I Love You Babe But It's Getting Too Heavy To Laugh" which mots people think is called "Woman" or "Woman of the land".

Or not
