I finally heard this for the first time a few weeks ago. It's fine. A little too long, and a little lacking in dynamic range, but track-for-track, is quite solid.
I remember loving this, particularly the softer more melodic tracks. It's great as a first introduction to YLT. While it may be a little long, I have a soft spot for sprawling albums like this (The White Album, 69 Love Songs etc.), so it doesn't really bother me.
Listening to their full catalogue is one of the most rewarding things for any type of listener. This is possibly the finest example of that (I added "possibly" in there because I'm biased thanks to Painful being my favourite album of all time). It's a masterpiece borne from the minds of devout music lovers that goes to show that love doesn't always have to be something extravagant, it can be as simple as a late night conversation just sitting around at home. _________________ Some RYM paraphernalia:
