A message to everybody reading: if you think walking outside any location in any situation (you freaking name it) kan be sinister at times, please try with Suicide in your headphones. You will not (and in my eyes shall not) be disappointed.
THIS WAS MY VERY MOST PLAYED ALBUM OF 2020, alongside Die Lit and Bravado. It's very punk. However you wouldn't be wrong if you said that it's also very non-categorical music with an attitude outside the norm, alongside atmospheric in the sense of it feeling forbidden to be listened to. Hello, the opener banger is a combination of; Electropunk, acid rock, art punk, gothic rock, proto-punk, industrial, psychedelia, electronic, psychedelic rock, electronic rock, power pop, and krautrock. Holy crap! In Girl, he is having sex with the microphone. Right over the beat which is as crisp as can be. I really don't know what to say of it....I'm speechless. Frankie Teardrop used to be the most scariest shit I ever heard. I mean, can you even call it a song? I'm tired of people calling average albums hit or miss, 'cause this little guy is a real deal: this is an album that you either almost worship (like me), or just won't dare put your finger at (like my mom).
Rocket USA is my all time favorite song for the Hype dance. But if you analyze the lyrics, it's about a suicidal road that the States subconsciously are taken; speeding down the skyway of success and glamour, and eventually "gone crash". Generally, Suicide with their self-titled, are creating and painting the scenario of a nightmare. A restless nightmare of desperately horniness, psychopathic cycles spinning out of control, loneliness being the ruler of the youth, history lying to the face of the present to disturbingly ship past criminals, and so on. Musically speaking, the way they polarize these sounds are so otherworldly that, they could take the most simple or iconic melody and everytime you hear it, you remember Suicide for it. That's really the inhumane effect that Suicide has on the psychedelic-thinking part of the brain. And you know that they say that remembering comes with repetition? That's exactly what the repeated synth-drums are here. Yet I do not know what they symbolize; a heartbeat, a set of hits to the stomach, clotted thoughts swimming around robotically...who knows? The record is simply waay too hypnotic for its own good. But in the end, you gotta give it to Rev and Vega. They made this dense album with; no drums, no guitars, no pianos, no strings, nor professional singing. Only keyboard/synthesizer and rhythmic talk (as I'd like to put it). And they did it in four days: Man, think about that for a second...FOUR DAYS. And it went on to become a milestone of new wave and synth punk. But nevertheless, for the entirety of music history!!!

I’ll echo one of the many great points in the comment above.

You must hear Frankie Teardrop at least once in your life.
