Exodus: O.S.T. - 1960 by Ernest Gold

I have always loved the title track, but I've never listened to the rest of the album. This title track and the title track from Lawrence of Arabia are 2 of my favorite instrumental tunes of all-time.

Many soundtracks, especially of video-games, can be very long, since have many tracks & some tracks can be a few seconds long,
but Ikaruga's soundtrack is pretty much as easy to listen to as an average music album, since it's 31 minutes long and has 10 tracks.

There's some good balance between the tracks, the instruments sound unique and are the soundtrack's signature and the tracks share a motif.
This video-game soundtrack sounds pretty modern for 2001, but the soundtrack album got officially released only in 2020.

I'm listening to a remastered version of this album that has two extra tracks. I'm liking it so far.

チェリージャム ～彼女が裸に着替えたら～ [Cherry Jam ~Kanojo ga Hadaka ni Kigaetara~]

The FM-synthesis sound of the PC-98 has always been "softer" and "sweeter" than the "crusty" and "spicy" sound of the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis, and "Cherry Jam" is a great example of this.
Cherry Jam is a visual novel where you take your girlfriend on a date in the city, so the best music genre to capture the romance and the urban daily life is "City Pop", and the game features melodic and soft-sounding FM-synthesized music which takes inspiration from City Pop, but is of course instrumental, but also about x1.25 faster-paced than the usual 80's City Pop. There are almost no weak tracks and they compliment each other.
This soundtrack is also an easy-listen like Ikaruga; 11 tracks and 31:03 long, although unlike Ikaruga, Cherry Jam's soundtrack has never been released officially, so you can't rate it on any music rating website.

II discovered this through AccelJoe's YouTube channel, who uploaded music from barely-known Japanese 90's PC video-games, and probably helped several people bring awareness to these soundtracks, since several videos got over 20k views, which is honestly pretty unlikely for such old games. Unfortunately, AccelJoe's channel got deleted because of copyright claims.
One of Cherry Jam's tracks got about 27k views. It sounded nice to me back then, although it didn't hold my interest that long, but II remembered it in case II would be interested listening to it again, so one day II wondered what the rest of the soundtrack sounds like, so II searched for it on https://downloads.khinsider.com , and discovered it only has 11 tracks and is not very long, so it encouraged me listening to it right away, and once II remembered how each track goes after gradually listening to the soundtrack couple of times, it became one of my favorite soundtracks of all time!
