Can't wait for Saturday, taking a well deserved break from study and hitting the pub to watch Super Leeds United's first game of the season. The euro's provided little in the way of excitement for me,so I've been waiting for this day for months.

Predictions:
Premier league: Man City
Championship: Leeds United Pray
Champions League: Real Madrid
La Liga: Barcelona
Bundesliga: Dortmund
Ligue 1: PSG(they have to win it)
Everdivise: Ajax looked nailed on,but I reckon PSV could have a big season.
Italy: Juventus are certs.

As long as West Brom beat the Villa, it's a successful season.

Reckon Villa could get relegated this season,it's hard to justify them being better than 3 other teams in the league based on the second half of last season. However if Darren Bent has a good season and they get a bit more consistency in defence they will stay up,but that's a big if.Lukaku and Rosenberg are quality signings for you lot, reckon ye might challenge for a cup this year and probably get a respectable mid table finish.

One can dream.

And yeah, Villa were torrid at times last season. I think they'll be lifted simply by the fact that McLeish is no longer at the club though. I reckon we'll do alright this season, though if the rumours are true that the FA want Dan Ashworth as technical director then that could possibly fuck us up long-term - the guy does everything at our club: head of recruitment, sports science, runs the academy. It would be a bigger loss than Hodgson was, or any of our top players would be for that matter. Apparently we have a structure in place so that the loss of any one person shouldn't be too catastrophic, and I assume Ashworth himself has lined up a list of suitable alternatives, but it will be hard replacing a man who so ingrained in the club and whom most hold responsible for our recent success.

As for Leeds, they'll do alright under Warnock. Automatic promotion might be a bit of a push, but a play-off place is very attainable. I think Birmingham and Wolves will both do well, and Bolton too probably. Cardiff are always there or there abouts, and I like Boro under Mowbray. I expect Blackburn could struggle, and they'll be in deep shit if they don't go straight back up if some of the reported wages they're paying are true. I doubt Dickson Etuhu's on less than £30k a week, and they've signed him on a four-year deal. Murphy's reportedly on £50k a week, which simply isn't sustainable outside the Premiership. Anyway, should be an interesting Championship season.

I'll probably end up watching all of this stuff...

My predictions:
Premier League: City as winners, I'm hoping for Liverpool to do well
La Liga: Real to win, hoping for Barca though
Bundesliga: Bayern to win, hoping for Dortmund
Serie A: Who knows? Juventus? I'll just be rooting for those clubs with Slovenian players in... Inter, Palermo, ...
Ligue 1: PSG; Would be very surprised if they don't win this.

Champions League: one of the spanish teams to win this year. Hoping for Barca

Premier League: United to edge it
La Liga: Real to edge it just about
Bundesliga: Bayern slightly ahead of Dortmund (Kagawa is a big loss)
Serie A: Could be between Juve and Milan but I don't know, the Italian league has set quite a poor standard in recent years
Ligue 1: PSG on paper have to win but I can genuinely see them bottling it
Champions League: Between Barca, Real, United, City (The 4 best club teams in the world at the moment)

I watch most of the Premier League games and not as many La Liga and Serie A games; Though I don't watch Bundesliga or Ligue 1 typically. As for Predictions:
Premier League: I hope it will be Chelsea!
La Liga: I think Real will win it 'cause their teamwork has improved with the current squad. That was Barca's strong point and sth Real lacked in the past five years. They just changed their squad too often. Now they've come up with this new consistency and they'll win.
Serie A: I hope it will be AC Milan
Bundesliga: Dortmund
Ligue 1: PSG with the whole money they've spent on stars.
Champions league: I hope it will be AC Milan or Chelsea. But if I want to say sth objective I'd say Real and Barca will be finalists, if they don't meet in the semi-finals.

I've always been a West Ham man which has not been easy. At least they're back in the grand ballroom this season but I doubt they'll end up as high as the previous prediction.

Hockey season starts soon too, so I won't be watching many of these games.
