Fantastic album, second to only Stankonia in the OutKast discography, granted, I am yet to listen to the bookends of their work.

Outside of the closing track, there are no huge highlights.

A straight 85/100

Pre-Stankonia Outkast is fantastic, yet overlooked by many. This is a great album. So loose.

I prefer Aquemini, but there's not a lot in it. Funky, forward-thinking, and really fun. This was where they truly found their voices, individually and collectively stepping up their game in every sense - lyrically, musically, even thematically more interesting and ambitious. Which, considering how fantastic their debut was and is, was no mean feat. Despite being so different in so many ways, part of me has long regarded OutKast as the natural successors to Tribe, making free, feelgood hip-hop that managed to transcend genre allegiances without it ever feeling unnatural or forced. They were one of the greatest groups off all-time, in any genre, and ATLiens finds them at something very close to their best from beginning to end.

Same. Totally agree about OutKast as one of the greatest groups ever. Andre and Big Boi's styles complimented each other as well as any duo I've ever heard.

I actually prefer this to Aquemini. This is my favourite Outkast album. My favourite tracks from it are Jazzy Belle and Millennium.
