I bought this when it first came out in an effort to impress some girls by pretending I was cool. I didn't click with it. It was only on rehearing it some 20 years later that I came to appreciate its nuances and aesthetic. To be clear, this isn't a beautiful album. Anyone expecting 'ambient' in the contemporary meaning of the word will be mostly disappointed, but it is so much more interesting than that which that word conjours up these days. Not quite up to its predecessor's standards, but well worth a listen.

This is a great album. I have only heard this and the first SAW album but it's hard to pick a favourite. I want to listen to the rest of his albums now.

it's good. i used to prefer this to selected i, but i don't think i do anymore... syro and ambi 1 got more going for them overall. more memorable. etc. but it's a worthwhile record.

I prefer this to vol 1. It's one of the few albums about which I like the fact that it's too long. Which is weird. But all the tracks sound like they belong on the same album, and they seem related.. Unlike vol 1. But I also like the fact volume 1 and volume 2 are very different
