I was told this was an amazing album - best ever material.

I listened to it and really have no interest in coming back. It wasn't bad by any stretch of the word, but neither did I connect with it.

While I think that Los Angeles is a great album, there subsequent albums fine tune the songwriting and dial back some of the punk edge while adding in some other elements. I think their debut is a little overrated.

So you are telling me there's a chance... hehe. Good to know, maybe I'll check it out again/other albums of there's.

Love this album. Pillar of the LA Punk Scene, Exene and John Doe together are one of my favorite duos in all of rock history (read John Doe's book Under the Big Black Sun if you haven't yet.) Punk with a western flavor.

Favorite tracks on this are Your Phone's off the hook but you're not, Johnny Hit and Run Pauline, Los Angeles, and the World's a Mess; it's in my kiss. Like this album way more than Wild Gift.
