- Post subject: How to download my chart as CSV?
|
FAQ says:
I want to view content from this website in Excel, or from my favourite newsreader - can I do this?
Registered members are able to download any of the charts on this site into a CSV file (compatible with nearly all spreadsheet programmes).
Uh, OK, so how do I do that?? I can get a CSV for albums/tracks/etc from my Ratings page, but there's nothing for downloading any chart (specifically, my charts) as a CSV??
If there's some convoluted way to do this, please let me know, but it would be nice if we could just click on a chart and have the button at the top to download as CSV...

It's in the "Share this chart" box that you should see when you're viewing the chart. Just under the little row of bookmark tabs ("Summary," "Composition," "Ratings," etc.).
At the moment there's also a "Share" link on the left side of that box that always generates an error because it's pointed at a site called "AddThis.com" which no longer exists because it was terminated by its owner, Oracle Corporation. Hopefully Albummaster will see this and remove that link, particularly since it was apparently hard-coded to his username anyway, but the "Download CSV file" icon should still work... It might not pop up a "Save file" dialog box though, depending on your security settings - in which case it will just pop the file directly into your default Downloads folder.

OK, I figured it out (thanks to your post). My browser was blocking the entire line because of that addthis link. Agreed, they should remove that link. Thanks!
