Mentioned this before when he passed away. I actually knew Ashtrobot. I used to play solo shows at a coffee house in Redondo Beach, CA every Saturday night. The band that went on before me was called Pistol Pistol. They were a trio...the drummer would end up being my stepson a couple of years later. he guitarist and singer was a long haired rocker named Ash, who went on to change musical direction and become Ashtrobot. Kid was massively talented...and even then was buried in being high all the time. He and my stepson remained friends. It was great to see him start to gain this level of success, and heartbreaking to see that he had died with everything in front of him. _________________ Musicians play gigs.
