I don't think it counts as a German album.Ok, I know, she was originally from Germany...but she was living in the US during those years in the 60s, she made this album with only American/British musicians in New York, and she sings in English.
Anyway, good album.

Truly lovely album, must disagree with Nico's opinion that the orchestration ruined the album, it's one of the best things about it I reckon. _________________

I'm pretty sure I sing The Fairest Of The Seasons when I sleepwalk. _________________ I'll be your plastic toy.

Sheer magic. Listen to 'These Days' by her and then by anybody else and you'll understand what I love about the album. She's not even on key, she sounds like a siren.

Her version of These Days is just about my favourite song of all time. I never listened to her music much though, and I think I should correct this one of these days...

This, absolutely. That is truly gave me one of the most gorgeous musical experiences of my life. I listened to it like 30 times in a row the first day.
Anyway, the album is pretty darn good. _________________ -Ryan

Yeah, it's a lovely album, feels like a particulary powerful daydream, in contrast to The Marble Index which sounds like the soundtrack to a terrible nightmare
