Top notch album. Great sardonic lyrics yet very uplifting. I like everything on it. No filler. She's quite a gem.
This sounds like a blend between the Cardigans and the Streets. It has some catchy hooks and rap-esque verses. Nothing here will stand the test of time. There are no classics on here.
However, Allen's humor makes this mainstream pop effort a cut above other similar sounding records. She is blunt, but honest, and that is perhaps her most appealing quality on this record. 8.5/10.

Afiadíssima!
Yeahhh it's alright I guess, she'd go on to greater things with "It's Not Me, It's You" by dumping the ska and picking up the electropop , but this is an interesting debut with a good sense of humour that got everyone talking about her.

I like to think of this as the second half of The Streets' A Grand Don't Come For Free written from the girl's perspective. I can't believe I never bothered to listen for a whole 10 years.
Really good, quite cheeky & funny whilst retaining a lot of originality. Solid throughout with no filler and lots of catchy tracks.
Really meteocre. Her voice is pretty thin too.
I'm a bigger fan of her next release, but this one doesn't get quite enough attention. Lots of great energy, and a lot of fun, to boot. Falls into a bit of the typical pitfalls of pop by the end, but still, a great debut.

Bookended by two great songs, and filled in the middle with passable pop with a slight bite. Nothing remarkable.

Starts off strong, but then lapses into mediocrity. Shouldn't have stuck all the big hits at the beginning.
