Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album has a Bayesian average rating of 73.5/100, a mean average of 72.5/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 73.6/100. The standard deviation for this album is 13.9.

Solid, but more importantly gives a taste of the incredible potential which I hope to see explored in future albums.
Thank you Good Girls, this is excellent!
I was impressed since the very first time I listened to them, they have a funky and funny sound that kind of stuck in my ears. That being said, I think the style they are trying to reach here needs to be polished, but they are in the right path. "Nobody Cares" is one of my favorite songs of last year.
This is one hell of the album! Amazing...sound like MGMT or Flaming Lips, but much funier, folly(er)...this band has potential...one of the top 5 albums this year...
Great album, manages to feel familiar and brand new at the same time. Maybe would have been a commercial hit if it cam out in the late 90s. The focus of course is the eclectic sampling but its hard to imagine another album in this style being anywhere near as tuneful. Definitely a contender for AOTY.
Best Track: SPRORGNSM
cute freak-art-electronic-pop. i love the way they use weird sounds as percussion (apple bites) and orono's bored voice is just awesome. maybe the songs are a little too messy at times, but over all a pretty decent debut. best tracks: "sprorgnsm", "the prawn song" and "something for your m.i.n.d."
A solid contender for Pop AOTY. The production is definitely the highlight, but the singer's voice is good too. So versatile and malleable with every song.
This is very interesting stuff, im excited to see what more this band/collective comes up with.
That baby sneeze bit in Nobody Cares gets me everytime.
Quirky, fun, and catchy tunes on this album! The song topics and lyrics are very witty and humorous. The production is great and I feel that all the songs go together perfectly. One of my only critiques is that some of the sound effects are unnecessary and distract from the beauty of the album, but overall this is a very impressive debut for Superorganism!
Best songs: It's All Good, Everybody Wants To Be Famous, Nobody Cares, Something For Your M.I.N.D., Night Time
Worst song: Relax
Trippy and out there , not my cup of tea unfortunately
'The Prawn Song ' is kinda ok in a cheeky way , the rest meh
FYI if you have Spotify Premium click on each album track to reveal a cool video for each one , something I've never seen on Spotify ever
