Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album has a Bayesian average rating of 70.5/100, a mean average of 70.0/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 70.3/100. The standard deviation for this album is 13.9.

Really decent listen. I've played it a number of times. Very enjoyable without really being outstanding. Nothing wrong with that at all. Also sounds coherent.
Grande álbum, traduziu bem a musicalidade afro-americana exaltando o que há de melhor grandes artistas negros de sua geração. Celebra o reconhecimento da negritude, o orgulho!
it's aesthetically coherent and has some bangers. idt it's as great as everyone says tho. i like my Kendrick as solo project, not as compilation album for a movie. without the album format, his is just curating and banger-creation, which he is good at don't get me wrong, but it's not his forte and it's not what he'll be remembered for. this is like the musical equivalent of a really good beach read from a noted, usually more serious author.

It's alright, about what I expected from the soundtrack. Some key moments, but for the most part nothing too interesting. Kendrick brought his A-game for the most part. All the highlights are songs he's in.
As an album that is described to be "curated by Kendrick Lamar", it's not surprising that nearly all the best tracks feature him. ("All the Stars", "King's Dead", "Big Shot", etc.) These songs really are enjoyable, and wouldn't even look out of place on an official Kendrick LP. There are a few things that limits this album from taking it to the next level; some of the other artists on this record don't really contribute the same energy or vibe as Kendrick and the flow of the album is broken on a few occasions, and there are a few songs on this that are just a little too generic (i.e. "The Ways".) Overall, really good for a soundtrack.
very good album, as far as soundtracks go. Kings Dead is a banger
This is a really excellent album, some more terrific tracks from Kendrick along with some other futuristic sounding soul and hip hop tunes. Very good soundtrack album.
