Turbowolf's 2015 'Two Hands' was one of the defining albums to come out of 2015
Unfortunately 2018's 'The Free Life' is pretty disappointing in comparison. Things kick off nicely with album opener "No No No" followed by "Capital X" , 2 excellent tracks that could easily have appeared on 'Two Hands'. Track 3 "Cheap Magic" begins the rot that permeates much of the remaining songs with ordinary fuzzed out track at 11 after ordinary fuzzed out track at 11 that all tend to bleed into one long fuzzed out blur. Even title track "The Free Life" blows .
Big surprise comes at the end however with album closer the aptly named "Concluder" , a track that dials it back a few notches with nice acoustic guitar and harmonies . My favourite moment here
