Watched a bunch of Tiny Desk Concerts today and Tash Sultanas performance blew me away so I'm checking this out. She's quite the guitar maestro and she has a ton of energy and just looks like she's having so much fun. This album kicks ass! Thank you NPR!
Didn't realize this was all one person, and she's FANTASTIC! Why is no one talking about her??? Especially now, in the age of St. Vincent, Brittany Daniels, and Mitski, I think Tash should be more than included in the convo for great female talent (or just great talent) among modern guitarists. PLEASE CHECK HER OUT!
Amazing guitarwork and a voice that reminds me of some combo of Alicia Keys, Daya, and Glass Animals. Definitely check Tash out! The overall sounds transitions seamlessly between ethereal and straight-out jam rocking and the lyrics vary from soul to reggae. One of the best albums I've heard from 2018.
