Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album is rated in the top 11% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 74.8/100, a mean average of 74.3/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 74.9/100. The standard deviation for this album is 14.2.

Energetic prog with pop stylings woven intricately in between. Really good stuff with Yes reinventing themselves. Machine Messiah, Does It Really Happen?, Into the Lens, and Tempus Fugit are all excellent.
A pretty solid album after the initial splintering that happened after Tormato. Not quite on par with what came before, but still good!
This album is excellent! I don't know why it has taken me so long to buy it really. The opening track is epic prog Yes with a slightly heavier edge. The vocals are not a million miles away from Jon Anderson and really work in retaining the classic Yes sound. Hats off to Chris Squire, Alan White and Geoff Downes who put in equally stunning performances.
This album should have been a disaster. How do you replace your voice and one of rock's all time greatest keyboard players? The loss of Anderson and Wakeman should have been devastating, but the 40% new Yes still put out a killer record. This album is heavier than Yes' previous output, almost metallic at times, and as it turns out, there's absolutely nothing wrong with that! Great job.
A lot better than I expected. No Jon Anderson but Trevor Horn does sound similar to his predecessor but without his range. It's certainly a heavier sounding Yes and a huge improvement on, Tormato. Not bad at all.
Just got this on vinyl. Decent. Not quite the proggy intricacy and grandeur of their best, but this album certainly has an energy and tightness to it. Chris Squire dominates this record. Machine Messiah is a pretty impressive track too.
A solid release
This is actually a pretty good record. Almost a throw back to their earlier material. Their best record besides "Relayer" without the classic "Yes" line up.
