Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album has a Bayesian average rating of 68.9/100, a mean average of 68.5/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 68.5/100. The standard deviation for this album is 21.4.

I know it is a real favorite among most hard core fans, but it's not one of mine. It has amazing song on it like "Pass the gun Around", "No Man's Land" and "Scarlett and Sheba". But it's very much an album of it's time, very 80s sounding. Which I'm not a huge fan, probably because I grew up in the 2000s. Still a good album, but not his best.
Totally underrated/overlooked album. Formerly Lee Warmer is one of my favorite Alice songs, and I Love America is good for a laugh. Pass The Gun Around is a strong closer.
It has good songs, but it just doesn't sound like Alice Cooper. It's till a great album.
This is an incredible album and an undiscovered tresure to most. "DADA" is one of the creepiest tracks ever and it's an absolute perfect opener for an album which tracks the pscho ramblings of Alice that fit right in with the whole "Welcome to My Nightmare" and "Go to Hell" flavor. This is Alice at his very best. I don't care if he was wacked out during the making of this record. Capturing "wacked out" in a recording is what rock is all about.
This is definitely one of my favorite Alice albums (I love Cooper) This one came from the early 80's era Alice, where he made four bizarre albums (Flush the Fashion, Special Forces, Zipper Catches Skin, and Dada) That was the time when Alice was in his drinking phase (after the early 80's he went sober and has remained so, good for him) Of the early 80's albums, this is his finest work from that period. In fact this is one of the most underrated Alice albums ever.
