Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album has a Bayesian average rating of 72.2/100, a mean average of 71.0/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 72.1/100. The standard deviation for this album is 14.7.

So in my drive to support women in rock & roll, I listened to several Runaways cassettes, coming away mostly unimpressed, but thinking the bass player had ears, and whoever wrote the song about being a "Cherry Bomb" understood rock & roll on some primal attitudinal level that deserved respect. Couple years pass, and I walk into my sister and brother-in-law's house-- my elder, sort of respectable brother-in-law-- to find him tickled pink, listening to this; and I knew as soon as I heard the voice...
A guilty pleasure.
Another somewhat sentimental inclusion. The title track was THE hit when this user first started attending school dances. There is other good rock & roll on here though. Not for those who seek new sounds, but for those who appreciate the basics this is as good times rock as times get.
It's a good album, but there's just too many covers. Even its best track is a cover.
Typical sound of 80's. I like it :)
Fine, Jett-led rockin' effort.
