Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album has a Bayesian average rating of 70.7/100, a mean average of 68.1/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 70.2/100. The standard deviation for this album is 19.6.

I first rolled my eyes thinking "oh great another kid that hates the world", until I read about what the concept of the album is and that they basically agree with me. The idea of making music from a perspective of some white straight boy whose parents should watch a bit more closely what he looks up on the internet is hilarious.
Musically I don't think we need any more dubstep in the '20s. Some of the sounds he uses sound like exact samples from Skrillex' Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites and the rest like it's copied from 100 Gecs. Vocally his delivery is quite interesting, but I hate how he chops up his vocals as if it's 2008 again and EDM was new. I guess I'm saying he's two thousand and late.
Unique and goofy mix of genres akin to 100 Gecs. It's not the same as Gecs but it's similar relative to everything else. Takes a lot of risks with pretty much every aspect of the music, a lot of which pay off. Very impressive. Takes some getting used to but I'm a big fan now that I've listened to it enough. Mad funny and fire memes.
Overproduction and hyperpop go hand in hand ,but I think this might be too much even for that relationship. Instrumentally, the album slams you through sound after sound until you are tired of it. The lyrics are pretty underwritten with the same lines being repeated over and over. Given these statements you would think that I'd hate this album but the concept is gold. The Incel identity turned into a tongue in cheek queer parody is hilarious. In particular , the closer ,"Give Great Thanks", turns a cheesy love ballad into a sub anthem.
