Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. Fresh, classy and surprisingly accessible from Hval !

Hval tries a more "fun" album following the dark and mesmerising Menneskekollektivet. Though I'm cetainly partial to a bit of Hval, I've followed her for most of her discography, Classic Objects is one of the most listenable projects she's done, maybe even more so than Apocalypse Now and The Long Sleep EP. Best songs are American Coffee, Cemetery of Splendour, Jupiter and The Revolution Will Not Be Owned. Production is a little flat, but Hval breaks through it in moments such as the chorus refrain "Jupiter's Calling!"

This feels like a great extension of the vibes on The Long Sleep. Way more connected to nature. It's settled, takes deep breaths. Lovely.
