The entirety of “Five Easy Hot Dogs” is just simple guitar tracks. They are pleasant and calm but give nothing beyond that. No ideas are expanded, no melodies built, no textures added. Each track is almost indistinguishable from the others. Without anything greater, the whole project feels disposable.

As an Mac DeMarco anti-fan, the fact there’s no vocals on this album shoots it to the top of his best albums list. Not a great listen though.
