Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. Sensational roots and R&B
One of their better early efforts. Little Red Rooster is a must listen
Odd collection of songs with the production quality constantly fluctuating. Couple of good tracks but nothing much to go out of your way to hear or relisten.
Best song(s): Down Home Girl; Surprise, Surprise
Alongside the UK debut, perhaps the best of their early efforts.

More of the confusion between releases across the pond. These rarely make satisfying entities and this is no exception.
An American release to clean up some tracks that were issued in the UK but not the US. A few classics here and some filler.

You can hear the beginnings of later Stones in What a Shame. Heart of Stone is a favorite. Down The Road Apiece shows how amazing Keith was even early on. Some of the best guitar playing I've heard that early... almost beats out Chuck Berry.
