Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album has a Bayesian average rating of 73.4/100, a mean average of 71.9/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 73.4/100. The standard deviation for this album is 16.9.

This really is just a continuation of the short punk tunes that graces Dookie. Which is great in my opinion

Bem bom, um pouco irregular, mas menos apreciado do que deveria.

This is a very underrated GD album. Close rival to Dookie for their best in my opinion. I’m not sure why so unappreciated. Almost every song is a banger.

This album is interesting in that many punk/ early Green Day fans consider it their best work , while other more casual or recent fans think it's their worst. For me, other than Dookie I'd consider this equal to or better than anything else they've released. I prefer their harder faster sound and this certainly delivers. Bab's Uvula Who? is one of their most underrated tracks, and songs like Walking Contradiction, Geek Stink Breath, and Brain Stew are classics of the genre.

This feels more like one very big song than an album. The consistency and cohesiveness is amazing. Even though there are no surprises, it is an album that grows on you, I find myself coming back to this more often than some other Green Day albums. Also, I love the album cover. Overall, 80/100.

Insomniac is a pretty straightforward album. It kind of makes me think of "Back in Black" by AC/DC because there is not much variety throughout the album. You have 14 songs that are all constructed basically the same way, except for "Panic Song", and this one is my favorite. But just like "Back in Black", even though the lyrics are not that original and the songs all use the same formula, it's the energy of the band and the production value that ultimately save the album. But I like "Insomniac" better simply because the formula they use is more in my taste than "Back in Black".

Not the best Green Day album, but not the worst either.

Overrated album amongst fans, in my opinion. Not many memorable tracks besides maybe Brain Stew, Panic Song (just because of the bass line), and Geek Stink Breath.

This is very similar to Dookie, but much less special. Still a very good album though
