This is the album that introduced me to The Field Mice + many more now legendary bands (in the twee world of indie pop anyway). After hearing this I was hooked on the Bristol based indie label Sarah Records which were a predominantly seven inch label. This compilation collects selected cuts from those early Sarah releases and is brilliant. For those who don't know what a Sarah record sounds like.....If The Smiths had released a single on Sarah Records it would probably have been something like 'Well I Wonder', just not as well produced of course.
