Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album is rated in the top 3% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 77.6/100, a mean average of 76.7/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 77.8/100. The standard deviation for this album is 15.7.

It's a very folky and unique sound Tull album. Very good
Muito bom, consistente, brilhos bem modernos em algumas partes.
A very consistent record until after the whistler where the quality slows down a bit but it is still decent. The music and lyrics are unique and suit the style of Jethro Tull perfectly. This is mainly due to the flute which works wonders on this album and is always one of my favourite aspects of their releases. The title track is brilliant as well and has a lot of great instrumental performances present on there. However, the album does feel a little slow at times and I never find myself getting drawn back to listen again. Nothing really astounds me in this record either and I think it could do with a bit more energy. Overall, an album I enjoy when I play it but I don't think it is better or near their superior records.
Este es, en mi opinión, el último clásico de Jethro Tull. Después han seguido haciendo discos, algunos (Heavy Horses, por ejemplo) excelentes, pero las obras maestras se acaban aquí.
In my opionion the best Jethro Tull album.
Completely consistent in its theme. The folk and old stories from the wood theme fits the flute and style of Jethro Tull perfectly.
Not one bad song, maybe loses a bit drive after the Whistler, but still great songs.
A really unique-sounding album, even for Jethro Tull. The traditional English folk approach blends surprisingly effectively with Tull's hard rock ethos. It sounds like the soundtrack to the nerdiest game of Dungeons and Dragons ever conceived. Recommended. Even if you don't love it (and I'm not even sure *I* do), there's enough here to at least keep you occupied and keep you thinking.
Rustic rock brillance
An incredibly consistent return to form for Ian Anderson and co.

I like The Whistler, but the rest is uninspiring.
