I don't understand the complaints on the production. I find it very varied and different from anything Del has done, sounds like he's been inspired by Death Grips & Ratking. Del's personality is flavorful and compliments the beats perfectly, his classic rhyme schemes and wordplay are on display. Just some of the song concepts for me didn't really work for me, felt like he was throwing shit at his listener and hoping something would stick.
A weak mixtape with little artistic talent.
I try to support Del, but the beats are way too repetitious and stale.
Del's personality carries the album and without it there would not be much to take from this. The beats generally don't evolve and get kind of stale the longer they go on, but some do pack quite a punch. I appreciate the more abstract moments though I don't feel like they really fit in all that well. His lyrics and flow have been better too. There's nothing I really disliked, though there's only a bit that I really enjoyed. Bitin Ain't Samplin and Militant being the more positive moments for me.
