Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album has a Bayesian average rating of 67.7/100, a mean average of 66.5/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 67.5/100. The standard deviation for this album is 18.0.

A good follow-up to Torches. They are the sort of band that I thought would fizzle out after one good album but fair play to them I was wrong. It's a little bit less poppy than Torches. Highlights are Ask Yourself and Nevermind.

One of the most experimental pop albums out there. It does everything right, and every song has a unique sound. Albeit commercially weaker than their first album, I'd say it's musically and lyrically stronger

Surprised this album has such a low rating, there's a lot of great b-sides, and personally this is the only FTP album I actually like, and I really love this album.

Good album. Maybe it doesn't have a new Pumped Up Kicks, but it has some really good songs, specially in the first half. The latter three songs bring it down a notch, though, which is a shame. In any case, a pleasant surprise and a worthy follow up to Torches

Best songs: Pseudologia Fantastica, Are You What You Wanna Be, A Beginner's Guide to Destroying the Moon, Ask Yourself, Coming of Age, Best Friend

honestly I was impressed by this album, I thought that after Torches they would just fade out. And even though this album has no NO.1 single like "Pumped of Kicks", it might be even more consistent, creative, and more daring album. Enjoyable pop for all that it matters.

A vast improvement on Torches. Lots of catchy songs and a generally fun album
