Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. Reading some good things about this album I thought I’d check it out
(1) In terms of reference points think Gaslight Anthem or Smith Street Band only not as good
(2) The Good: track 7 SOMETIME AROUND MIDNIGHT is a clear standout and the best thing here by that far it isn’t funny
(3) The Bad: every other track, bad isn’t quite correct, a closer description would be ordinary
(4) The Ugly: track 9 MISSY just doesn’t work
Apart from Sometime Around Midnight which I’ve add to a best ever song playlist I won’t be returning. Go listen to Gaslight Anthem instead

Times when I like this and other times I feel it is empty one hit wonder stuff. Can't make up my mind on it, which I guess is a good thing.

The most underrated album of all time. The ten songs are some of the most impassioned of any I've ever heard. Key Tracks: Wishing Well, Something New, and of course, Sometime Around Midnight

One of the best albums I've ever heard. Truly deep and interesting. There were moments I thought I was listening to a Smiths album, there were moments I thought I was listening to Blue October, and the product works incredibly.
