Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album has a Bayesian average rating of 71.0/100, a mean average of 70.1/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 70.9/100. The standard deviation for this album is 14.9.

Some of the songs are pretty good, but the majority of this is honestly really bad.

I think this album should be more known out of the Megadeth catalogue. It came at a rough time for Mustaine and the band in general, but despite that it is so well done. Sure it may not be as heavy as most Megadeth fans crave, but as a stand alone album it is phenomenal for me. Every time I listen I get one or two tracks stuck in my head for days. She-Wolf, Use the Man, Trust. Then The Disintegrators throws you back to Killing is My Business days. That track seriously belongs on that record haha.

A spastic and genre bending album that is less than the sum of its parts. This is Megadeth transitioning to a more alternative rock approach. Despite having some lackluster material, it is still worth checking out if you are a Megadeth fan; and it has some of the best songs Megadeth ever wrote. Songs such as Truth, Use The Man, She-Wolf, Vortex, FFF, and one of my personal favorites of their whole career THE DISINTEGRATORS.
