Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some artists can have several thousand ratings)
This artist is rated in the top 2% of all artists on BestEverAlbums.com. This artist has a Bayesian average rating of 82.3/100, a mean average of 81.9/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 83.1/100. The standard deviation for this artist is 13.7.

Very good!
Seriously one of the most underrated bands of all time, 'You're Living All Over Me' sometimes gets the credit it deserves, but people fail to talk about their other great albums like Bug, Green Mind, Where You Been. But really all of their albums are a worthwhile listen (the newer ones too).

I'd vote for them as the most underated band ever... They probably did exactly the music I would have made if I was a musician (or just talented enough...) Jay Mascis really an outstanding guitar player.

Distinctive from other alt-rock pioneers by featuring a legitimate guitar virtuoso. Worth a look.
One of the big big names in pop music.
Great great band!
