No other band could capture such raw emotion as Van Der Graaf Generator. Extremely unique and intense, sometimes beautiful and sometimes terrifying.
One of the most unique and amazing bands ever. Extremely intense, challenging, and ultimately cathartic. I don't think anybody band could capture an emotion the way VDGG did.
Not everyone's cup of tea, but another absolutely groundbreaking band. Peter Hammill has a voice like no-one else and the weird blend of hammond organ, saxophone and flute is glorious. Still Life and Pawn Hearts are both masterpieces.
