Completely changed the rap game. Run-DMC changed the way the world viewed music. This rating takes into consideration both the quality of their music and the innovation that Run-DMC brought to the music industry. If you like hip-hop, it is your duty to give Run-DMC a listen.

Certainly helped rap and hip hop earn respect among those who never took it seriously. Raising Hell is without a doubt one of the top ten (probably top 5) greatest hip hop albums ever. One of the gold standards in history.

The first real hip-hop superstars. Launched it into the mainstream, and aren't pandering to the pop crowd. Believe it or not, these guys are underrated. On par with Public Enemy.
