fabulous artists and song writing.
These two made the best music of the 60s (sorry Beatles). What Simon and Garfunkel could do with just their voice and guitar is simply unbelievable. Will love them till the day I die.
Gosh a lot of their songs fills me with such strong emotion. It's amazing what two dudes and an acoustic guitar can do.
No music will ever impact me as greatly as theirs has. It is suited for all moods, and is still underrated in spite of its acclaim. I grow with it and it grows with me.
Iconic harmonies. Amazing singing from Garfunkel. Brilliant songwriting from Simon. Personal favourite songs include The Boxer, America, Song For The Asking and Cecilia.

Always loved Bleeker Street and At The ZOO.
Underrated. Should be in top 20. Paul simon is brillant, all his music is wonderful.

To me, they're the epitome of nostalgia and my second favourite act of the 60s.
Junodog's comment about Art Garfunkel being an instrument made me think of that Futurama episode where Bender asks if he can keep the check and Garfunkel answers "Over my dead career". Funny, but sadly also kinda true (though I've still yet to hear any of his albums to see if they've any merit).

Paul Simon produced material in this group that was never matched again in his later material. His lyrics were truly meaningful and dug deap intro philosophies of the human condition. It is very interesting to see how this group has matured from the beginning of their musical career to Bridge Over Troubled Water. The lush production of their later works helped to even further add beautiful sound to Paul Simon's lyrics. Aside from all of this I have found that S & G's music is great for a bad day.
