Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some artists can have several thousand ratings)
This artist is rated in the top 4% of all artists on BestEverAlbums.com. This artist has a Bayesian average rating of 79.1/100, a mean average of 79.0/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 79.6/100. The standard deviation for this artist is 13.3.

Iggy is an incredible artist and musician who was in the highly influential bands The Stooges and later Iggy and the Stooges. He has enjoyed a long solo career. His work with David Bowie is outstanding. I rank his 10 best albums as the following:
1. Lust For Life
2. The Idiot
3. Soldier
4. New Values
5. Brick By Brick
6. Post Pop Depression
7. Blah Blah Blah
8. Kill City
9. American Caesar
10. Party
One of the best rock stars of all time. He make a real change on music history and reinvented himself many time demostrating that is a great artist. Even his work was really amdired by artists as David Bowie, Maddona, and Kraftwerk.
Definetly one of my favorite artists.
My favorite albums are:
1-The Idiot
2-Zombie Birdhouse
3-American Caesar
4-Soldier
5-Lust For Life
6-New Values
7-Avenue B
Came to Iggy Pop late. Brushed him off due to his 80s work. Big mistake. I missed out on years of enjoying Lust for Life & The Idiot.
My favorite singer if I had to choose one. Awesome voice, I love his way of signing, switching between crooner, low-tone voice and hi-octane screaming. Saddly underated as an artist... He's the goddamn godfather of punk you know !
I don't understand why this site puts The Stooges as a parent or child act, 'cause he wasn't the only reason for the band to be as great as it was. His solo work, while being interesting with the first couple albums, as a whole tends to be mediocre (well, which carreer of that many years wouldn't?). Always a great performer, truly rebel and unique singer.
