On the surface a typical 80s synthpop album, but listen to the backing vocals (and pretty much anything that isn't Sandra's vocals). It should sound familiar if you've ever listened to Enigma. Another connection to Enigma is hit single "(I'll Never Be) Maria Magdalena", which seems to have the inspiration of religion/spirituality in common. Less trivia-oriented is the fact that Sandra's voice is quite powerful and expressive, so it isn't that typical 80s pop!
