Oh boy, where do I even start. Pink Floyd is a band that means a lot to me, as I'm sure it does to a lot of people. Their ability to produce masterpieces is unprecedented, and I believe The Wall is the best example. Roger Waters really shows just what a great lyricist he is, by not just writing excellent lyrics, but also an excellent story. The compositions are gorgeous, the lyrics are haunting, and I get goosebumps every time. What else is there to say? [First added to this chart: 04/27/2015]

OK Computer came out just a couple months after I was born, and due to my dad being a huge Radiohead fan, I got to listen to it quite a bit growing up. There's no doubt in my mind that OK Computer is a masterpiece, but it never got to me like The Bends did. The Bends isn't without it's flaws, but it has it's moments, and I feel that those moments are brighter, more heartfelt even, than the moments on any of Radiohead's other work. It was hard picking a best Radiohead album (due to limiting one album per artist), but I have to go with this one. Also, Fake Plastic Trees has to be one of the best songs ever. Demon Days has everything going for it, and in my honest opinion, fails in nothing. It's daring, imaginative, creative, and even though I've listened to it a countless number of times, it never ever gets boring. [First added to this chart: 04/27/2015]

What's there to say that hasn't already been said? King Crimson is one of prog rock's best bands, and In The Court Of The Crimson King is one of prog's best albums. [First added to this chart: 04/27/2015]

The Beatles are a band that just got better with age, proof of that being that their very last album, though not the last released, it was the last recorded and I truly believe it is their best. [First added to this chart: 04/27/2015]

I never did figure out why I love this album as much as I do. I do know though that it has quite a bit of charm, diversity, and I can't say that I dislike a single track on it. Elbow didn't reinvent the wheel, but they did make a highly enjoyable album, at least for me. [First added to this chart: 04/27/2015]

I'm not doing anything new putting Ziggy Stardust high up on a best albums of all time chart, nonetheless I feel it's necessary. This record just has so much character, and we all know how great of a lyricist David Bowie is. [First added to this chart: 04/27/2015]

Muse have been one of my favourite bands for a while now, and trust me when I say I've listened to all their albums dozens upon dozens of times. Black Holes and Revelations is always the one I come back to though. Black Holes is like having Queen make a Star Wars soundtrack. It's grandiose, ambitious, electrifying, and glorious. Damon Albarn certainly has a gift, this has been made clear through many of the projects hes involved in including Blur, Gorillaz, The Good the Bad and the Queen, and Rocket Juice and The Moon. Everyday Robots is just more of that genius put into a solo album. This is by no means a happy or upbeat album, but Damon spread out through this album a few bright spots. For some people those few songs that change the pace a bit may not be enough, but I feel like the album being sad just made those few songs that much better. There isn't a single moment on Everyday Robots that I don't like. [First added to this chart: 04/27/2015]

Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)

This chart has a Bayesian average rating of 86.5/100, a mean average of 87.0/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 87.0/100. The standard deviation for this chart is 9.6.

While some inclusions I've yet to see as great (maybe only 10), the sheer diversity and depth of your choices are fantastic. Great chart!

@baileyhawks1523 I never would've expected someone to rate my chart so highly, thanks! And yeah, I love all the Lips stuff (they're easily one of my favourite bands) including their older stuff. They have a pretty decent sized discography so I still have to get around to listening to a lot of it.

Really good chart. Also, although the later Flaming lips stuff is fantastic, their late 80's/early 90's stuff is some pretty fantastic alt. rock, give it another go.

I love how you put your description here in almost all of your albums. I feel like the same as me and it's great to see a personal thoughts of everything.
I can say we are similar, but I'm just a little bit older, hehehe. Also have an impression that I'll like what I'm going to listen in your chart... Hugs
