Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)
This chart has a Bayesian average rating of 80.2/100, a mean average of 75.9/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 75.4/100. The standard deviation for this chart is 17.6.

I think that you'll love Fleet Foxes. If the DbT's don't take your fancy, try The National or Band of Horses. 2 of my favourite bands of the last few years. Enjoy.
@ Johnnyo - Yeah it was probably the worst decade of music ever. But that's not to say their weren't some great albums. I know of the Fleet Foxes but have never heard of Drive-by Truckers. But I will check them out on your suggestion. And Oasis are there simply because they are my favorite band. Thats the great thing about having a personal album chart, it's all about freely displaying one's biased opinion! haha
Solid list even though the 2000's were not exactly the greatest period in music. Surprised not to see the Fleet Foxes in here or even Drive-By Truckers. Also, a litte too much Oasis for my liking.
True, there are a lot of British artists though I personally wouldn't define most of them as Britpop. Interestingly enough the #1 and #3 spots are taken up by American bands. But if you look at most people's lists I can guarantee a majority of their selected albums will be from British artists. I'm Australian and I've always been influenced by British bands and that certainly shows in my list. To each their own!
many good picks, even if there's not many diversity (too much britpop, which wasn't really great in the 00's)
