Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)
This chart has a Bayesian average rating of 86.8/100, a mean average of 86.0/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 87.1/100. The standard deviation for this chart is 10.3.

Nice chart. Needs more breadth in terms of decades for me to give it a top mark but a great collection of mostly "recent" releases.
cool chart
Decent, different. Judging by your taste in rock music I'm surprised not to see more alternative hip hop. There's definitely better rap than Tyler the Creator for someone with your taste. The Roots, A Tribe Called Quest, Outkast and Cunninlynguists just to name a few.
Great picks from the last decade. Very well done
Fantastic chart! I'm pretty much a fan of all the artists featured on your chart
Niiice. Your top 20 are really similar to mine.
Definitely a great 21st century chart. Love to see all 3 Saturations, Deafheaven so high and 3 Gizzard albums! My favourite is Polygondwanaland though, listen to that one if you haven't already.
interesting and very personal chart .... it is wired to see some current albums of 2018 dominating.... the year is not over yet
decent chart but i dont believe that 86% of the greatest albums ever where made in the past eighteen years so theres alot that you can still discover
Some really nice picks here, and with a bit of tweaks would make a great Best of the '10s chart. I normally don't mind a slant towards more modern stuff (I am a young-un' myself) but I feel in this chart it's gotten a little out of hand - Arcade Fire are one of my favourite bands ever but to say their third best release is better than the everything that happened in the decades before the 90s is a little much. I get the feeling from four of your five 70s picks being Pink Floyd that there's a couple more 20th century gems for you to discover; if you want records that sound ahead of their time maybe try Amon Duul II's Yeti, Television's Marquee Moon and Faust's IV?
