Nothing more needs to be said about DSOM... Easily could be the greatest (concept) album of all time. This is the album where I discovered the concept of an ALBUM

Where would music be today without Black Sabbath? No metal? No sludge? Where's the darkness? This is the album that introduced me to metal and heavier music in general. Also an album where I discovered dark and frightening themes and visuals can be powerful & beautiful at the same time.

The Who's best album. Sure Tommy and Quadrophenia were unique and ambitious, but they were sprawling rock operas with a lot of filler. Who's Next has bonafide classic bangers and not a single filler song. Straight to the point this album kicks ass.

One of those albums where you enjoy each song as much as the last and once you finish listening to it you want to throw it back on again for another spin. An ambitious commitment to character. Intro to glam rock 101.

Hard to pick a favorite song on this one... But Rock n Roll Suicide is fantastic, always makes me want to restart

Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)

This chart is rated in the top 7% of all charts on BestEverAlbums.com. This chart has a Bayesian average rating of 88.3/100, a mean average of 90.5/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 90.5/100. The standard deviation for this chart is 5.0.
