Top 100 Music Albums of the 1980s by daftpunter 
Man I loved and hated this decade. Euro synth pop ruled MTV and I just couldn't identify. I'm still a axe/bass/kit kinda guy and it shows here. This chart will be tweeked more than the overall chart because, to be honest, there's an album or two here I can't stand (I love and hate Graceland even as I listen to it for the 182nd time). Take the liberty of switching out any Talking Heads album with Remain In Light depending on mood.

Wow, what a terrific eighties chart! I'm totally with you on preferring the traditional three-piece core mover the synth pop that dominated most of the decade. Murmur and Double Nickels on the Dime are great examples.
