Beautiful songwriting, gorgeous arrangments and vocals, and the backstory behind this Britpop classic all contribute to the beauty of this nearly-perfect album. The bright shining light of a band that had so much potential and could have done so much more. [First added to this chart: 05/27/2018]

Somehow, this album gets lost in the sheer amount of 90s alt-rock classics by so many people. It's too good to be forgotten. Beautiful songwriting and abstract lyrics combined with the perfect voice of Michael Stipe. All backed by the most underrated rhythm section of the era. [First added to this chart: 05/31/2018]

Perfect pop melodies courtesy of Billy Corgan, with a polished hard rock sound courtesy of drummer Jimmy Chamberlin and bassist D'Arcy Wretzky.
