Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)
This chart has a Bayesian average rating of 84.9/100, a mean average of 83.0/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 84.7/100. The standard deviation for this chart is 14.1.

What I really like is that the biggest outlier, in a chart with very few outliers, is Cherry Ghost. I am only just discovering the band and loving what I hear.
standard but excellent picks.
I find it strange that there are so many charts with kind of blue tossed in, with no other jazz at all. weird phenomena on this site
It's good to see Yes in the top 10 in other chart than mine. Prog is underapreciatted arround here.
wohoo! a lot in common, you're right, though different enough to be interesting.
Props for adding Sufjan's new album, it's dominating my listening at the moment!
good chart
nice chart. hope to see some from the middle of the chart work there way up.
Great chart! The top 5 is one of best i've ever seen, full of classics and with Aeroplane fifth, just amazing! Also, the variety of music in the chart is really good, I am downloading some albums I dont know and the differents kind of music in here is excellent. However, there are some albums and bands i dont like, such as Coldplay. Anyway, it is good because that gives to the chart the original touch wich all the charts should have. Overall, a fantastic chart, just expand!
Pretty nice chart :)
I like it. :)
