Top 9 Music Albums of 1989 by mrmcrook

I'm personally amazed how little amount of albums I have from this year. Very bizarre

My favorite Chilli's album. More oomph, less commercial. More rock, fuck all filler. A great album all round [First added to this chart: 04/15/2022]

Thrash band from Canada. They're actually alright. Let's chat about thrash metal. It's always an interesting one as some thrash albums and bands can just all sound the same. That's why the Big 4 are the kings of thrash, they had decent variety within their songs. On some albums, not all. These guys are classed as 2nd tier thrash behind the Big 4 giants. This album is not up to the par of the better of the Big 4's albums, you know, the Master's of Puppets, Rust in Peace, Among the Living etc. But it's a lot fucking better than a lot of the other albums they put out. Overall it's a solid effort. Jolly good. Thumbs up. It's always good to support the underdog. From the late 80's when thrash was still in a golden period [First added to this chart: 12/29/2023]

This is the first studio album from Aerosmith I've acquired. Their most commercially successful and probably their best known. It's actually pretty good. Better than I thought it would be. They're heavier than I speculated as well. I've always seemed to have had a bit of an anti against Aerosmith. Don't really know why. Could be due to how commercial they became at the time this was released, and I've a bit of a bitterness in regards to commercial music. Also I find Steven Tyler a fucking idiot and the personality which he percieves is very grating and annoying. I'd say that's more so why I've forever ignored Aerosmith. Anyway, lesson learned; don't hate the music just because you hate the player. Playa. 12/24 [First added to this chart: 12/17/2024]
