Between Miles and Coltrane, I'm firmly in the Coltrane camp. This isn't quite my favorite of his, but only barely.

His first masterpiece? Freewheelin' and Times are great, but this was a whole nother level for Dylan. And he'd outdo it twice consecutively!

Her version of "Strange Fruit" is phenomenal, though Billie's still Queen, but Sinnerman is one of the best ever. The earlier tracks are fine, if a bit unsubstantial.

I honestly do really love his original version of "Respect". I'm not saying it's as good as Aretha's, it's obviously not, but it is still very good. It's his version of "A Change is Gonna Come" that I don't like enough. Doesn't feel different enough from Sam's superior version to feel worthwhile.
